Kenneth Biggs has been a member of the PBQ since 1995. He is a local freelance musician, playing tenor and bass trombone, and tenor and bass sacbut (Renaissance trombone). He is currently second trombonist with the Columbia Symphony Orchestra, and plays bass trombone with the Musical Theater Company. He has played with the Oregon Symphony, the Portland Baroque Orchestra, the Yaquina Chamber Orchestra, and the Portland Chamber Orchestra. When not playing music, Ken works for an insurance company, and spends time with his wife and 3-year old son Julian, an aspiring trombonist. |

Kevin Calvert received his degree in music performance from Arizona State University under the tutelage of Thomas Bacon. Currently, he holds positions with the Eugene Symphony and the Oregon Ballet Theatre. He also appears as a frequent substitute with the Oregon Symphony. As a soloist Kevin has performed with the Vancouver Symphony and the Columbia Symphony. When not performing, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife and reading up on North America's most elusive creature, Bigfoot. |

Felipe Ovando is one of Portland's busiest freelance musicians. He has performed with the Portland Opera, Spokane Symphony, Bravo! Orchestra and the Portland Chamber Orchestra. He is currently principal trumpet of the Rose City Chamber Orchestra and second trumpet of the Columbia Symphony. He received his trumpet performance degree at Washington State University and was a student of Gerald Webster. |

Jeffrey Snyder is currently a member of the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra and has performed with the Seattle Symphony, Oregon Symphony, Portland Opera, and the Spokane Symphony. Jeff received his music degrees from Florida State University and Washington State University and a performance diploma from the New England Conservatory of Music where he studied with Charles Schlueter, principal trumpet of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. |

John Walling, a founding member of the PBQ, has performed with west coast symphonies and brass groups during the last 23 years including the Santa Cruz Symphony, San Jose Symphony, Reed Street Brass Quintet and Burbank Symphony. John received his music performance degree at the University of California at Santa Cruz. He also plays tuba and string bass with Stumptown Jazz, Swingtyme, and the Jazz Express Big Band. |
